I have represented defendants in both state and federal criminal prosecutions.
Among the highlights are:
Obtained dismissal of charges against an FHA underwriter accused
of massive conspiracy to inflate appraisals (U.S. District Court, Brooklyn)
Arranged plea bargain for a labor leader accused of 65 felony counts
of labor racketeering. He received a suspended sentence and charges against
his son were dismissed (U.S. District Court, Manhattan);
Defended Roy Cohn's "worst enemy" in Manhattan State Supreme Court.
He was charged with two felony counts and twelve misdemeanors.
Having been convicted of a felony within ten years of his indictment, he was subject to long, mandatory
"hard time" sentence if convicted of the felony counts. Won jury
acquittal of both felony counts and six of the misdemeanors. See People v. Dupont
